September: BBC 6 Music with Marc Riley, Our Album Launch

I think it's been the busiest September in the history of Septembers.
Last Wednesday, still coming down from the success of The Woodlands Creatures Collective's mini-festival in Ayrshire, Tom and I made the 5-hour journey down the M6 from Glasgow to Manchester to play a live acoustic session for Marc Riley on BBC 6. It was great to meet the legendary 'Lard' himself and his lovely team. We played three songs: "Talk Show Host", "Mermaid Song" and "By The Sea" and chatted for a bit. Before we left Marc's producer Michelle gave us a copy of the session, so we'll try to post some of it on myspace for those of you who missed the live version. Afterwards, we met up with our friend Pucci at a pub round the corner for a few drinks and then headed to Withington where we met up with some smiling happy people celebrating a 30th birthday. They were a talented bunch, members of various bands in Manchester and we played a few songs with them before crashing out in Dan's livingroom (thank you Dan!).

Also, thank you to everyone who made it to the album launch last saturday at Stereo in Glasgow. We were lucky to have two of our favourite bands supporting us, Sparrow and The Workshop & Wake The President. It was a special night indeed. The album is now available in independant record shops up and down the country and from the Lucky Number Nine website. We're very pleased with it and we hope you like it too.

Our debut Album!

Our debut Album, "The Other Side Of Morning" will be released on Monday 22nd September on CD/Vinyl/Download via Lucky Number Nine Records. Smart people are already saying that it's the best album ever made by Rags & Feathers.
To celebrate we're performing a show at STEREO, Renfield Lane, Glasgow, on Saturday 20th September with WAKE THE PRESIDENT and SPARROW & THE WORKSHOP. amen. You can buy the album on the night a bit cheaper apparently. wooo.
